Ivan Conversano, President of European Massage Association brings Phenomenal Touch Massage to Italy!
After witnessing Phenomenal Touch Massage being performed at the World Massage Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2018, Ivan Conversano and the other members on the European Massage Association were deeply touched by the work and determined to learn it from the founder herself.
After years of attempting to bring Leslie over to his home town in Bologna, Italy, Ivan was finally rewarded by the appearance of not only the founder, but two of her master instructors, Cedar Johnson and Mary Stark at the World Massage Meeting on April 30-May 3, 2022.
After Leslie's magnificent presentation of PTM (that brought the audience to tears), Ivan was even more elated when he was presented with the gift from Leslie and Cedar of a private PTM class to Ivan and his team. It was a very touching event and class that will live in all of their hearts forever.
In the words of Ivan,
"When the student is ready, the teacher shows up...This just happened to me. My teacher travelled all the way from Mexico to meet her student. Phenomenal Touch has been the principle that I have been able to use to convey my feelings to so many people. I am ready to share with you the gift that was given to me, so that you too can change your life for the better, just like it happened to me....

Following his unconventional path to healing on the outskirts of Boulder, Colorado (at the Institute for Phenomenal Touch) we begin to understand why the art of massage is present in many traditions around the world. This documentary offers insight into the hardships of entering this profession, especially in a modern-day society that doesn’t realize the vast potential massage has as a form of healthcare. Inspired by his personal journey of healing from loss and isolation, Grassi masters his gift of touch through the encouragement of mentors and newfound love. From his childhood in Queens, New York, to claiming his title at the World Championship in Massage, Grassi’s transformational narrative illuminates the importance of community when pursuing one’s passion.
